Past Project 2007:

Akugbe Association of Dallas donated nonperishable food items to the food bank in Fort Worth Texas, a service that was recognized by Fort Worth Star Telegram in its December 18, 2007 edition.

2010 Project/Outreach

In 2010 Akugbe Association of Dallas, completed an AIDs awareness campaign in Benin City, Edo State. The public was educated on the effects of AIDS through Television adverts, radio jingles newspaper publications and billboards on strategic locations in Benin City. The success of this campaign earned recognition and applauds from Edo State government.

2012 Project/Outreach

Akugbe Association of Dallas borehole water project completed in Irokhin village of Edo state. The project was executed to provide clean and potable water for the Irokhin community which included installation of a borehole, pump and associated piping, water storage tanks and a generator set to run the pumps. This project was completed in 2012.

2022 Community Outreach Program

Akugbe Association DFW Inc – Community Outreach Program 2022 donated two large boxes containing 50 backpacks and three large boxes of school supplies to Gentry Elementary School, 1901 Twin Oaks Drive, Mesquite, Texas.

Those present at the donation were the school Principal, Mr. Michael Piefotti accompanied by some staff and members of Akugbe Association outreach committee members Mr. Victor Aimuyo, Dr. Evelyn Aiwerioghene, Attorney Ernest Izedomwen, Mr. Sylvester Odigie, Mrs. Ese Ohonba, and Rev. Gabriel Omorowa.
